LETTERS TO OBAMA

Barack Obama has made history but he will need all of our help, especially yours.  We can only imagine the damage control that he will have to do from day one, the pressure that he will be under and the target for criticism that he will be.  As a man of his word, he’ll want to take on every issue possible and as he’s approving the details of his administration line-by-line, there’ll be many oil burning nights.

With that said, people watching Obama’s every move will have to be patient and positive.  He’s going to need a lot of support.

If you could talk to President-Elect Obama, what would you tell him? What wisdom would you pass onto Obama?  Tell us here.

i would like to know if you have for purchase to interview with senator obama aired on nov 3 2008 around 4-4:30am

If I could talk to Pres.-Elect Obama I would tell him I love him for wanting to change the way are going for the USA.I would tell him I’m glad he has the desire to want to see a change in the USA.I would tell him I always include him and his family in my prayers and I know he is going to do the very best he can to help bring this nation to a better place. I would tell him we are all willing to do our part, because I know he can’t do what he wants to do alone. God Bless our Newly Elected President.

FIRST THING I WOULD SAY TO HIM IS,I DIDN’T VOTE FOR YOUR BLACK MUSSLIM ARSS. SECOND I JUST HOPE YOU CAN FIX SOME OF THE B.S.THE LAST A-HOLE F–KED UP.GOOD LUCK

What I would say to president- elect :

Dear President- elect Obama,

I would first like to say how very proud I am of you for winning the 2008 Presidential election. It is a great accomplishment. I have enjoyed watching you as you campaigned across the country and I believe in you. I believe in your ability and that why I voted for you . I’m sure you will do an excellent job. I think you have a feel for what America needs and how to go about getting it. I look forward to supporting you for the next eight years. In doing my part to give you the support you will need, I ask you to make all issues regarding the nation available to every citizen so that we may give you the feedback needed to make decision in the best interest of the United States of America and abroad.
In closing I would like to say thank you for allowing my voice to be heard and thank you for listening. Stay gold !!!

Sincerely,

TheLostJaxon

As far as the economy, think Control + Alt + Delete! Ancient Hebrews used to declare a Jubilee Year every 50 years. If the whole world did that we would have economic reset. (All debts were forgiven). The only ones hurt would be people who make their living having people owe them money and it looks like they’ve been taken care of already.

I really want to know what actually inspired you to run for president what gave you the thrive as well as the fortitude to presue this historic dream for not only you but for all of americans. yes you are the first black president but it seems to me you are really sincere about what you want for the american people. i also think its very pleasing the way you acknowledge you wife in such a way most men wouldn’t . the way you make it know that she’s the rock of you family ,you best friend mother of your children and wife. i hope to find true love like that one most me think that they are the rock of their families just because they may pay more bills then the women or bring home more money the the women. i can see that is not your out look .wish you the best in your 8years of your presidece iam saying 8 because i have faith, in god that you will lead americans in the right path and road to hopefulness that which it was once before its gonna take time just keep your head up think postive and keep hope alive

If I could write to Obama I would first congradulate him on a breath taking victory, it was a marvelous evening Nov 4. I would ask that he would PLEASE work on gun violence & drugs in the inner cities, and give better ideas to city leaders to put a handle on this. Too many young children are dying to gun violence many may be illegal weapons. Many reasons that it still persists is fear, but there will be no real answers unless this is address throuoghly at a national level for a cure. The hardest thing to see is parents losing their youth at a young age, and it is happening all over. I do believe it starts in the home, but if they can start maybe classes in the elementary level maybe throughout a childs schooling on bullying, and handling situations..right into real life and budgeting, maybe have parents more accountable for children, and tougher sentences. Possibly charges for landlords have crime in there homes, know it and do nothing including store fronts. More public service annoucements, recreational center funding, possibly help from national reserve, or gaurdian angel type groups, but we have got to have a movement to save our youth and get them in position for a positive future.

My Wisdom to Obama is predestined by God according to Judge 4: Chapter of the Bible. It is not by accident that you have turned the country 360 degrees. God said you would. In Judge 4: Chapter he spelled your name “Barak”; but all pronounced the same way. It is also stated that the country was turned up side down after forty years; which came to mind that “Martin Luther King’s death has been forty years”. I know you see God in the Will because everything is so symbolic; to include your inauguration; which is the day after the commemoration of Martin Luther King’s Birthday, and your topic is in representation of Lincoln who set us free.
I am in Faith that you did not choose this position; God chose you, Therefore Seek God First in all situations, and know that you have a Jewel for a wife; and she will always be in your corner. Bush stated that you have brought more family-hood to the white house than any other president to include himself. Apparently, God and your present have already changed the atmosphere of the white house.
Everyday put on the whole armour of God, and seek him for understanding because your presidency is not of man but of God. Know that you will not fear any man because of whom you were chosen by. I would love to be one of your online resourceful person. I follow up with what is going on daily. But most importantly have God as your #1 Buddy! I know Michelle is right there at your right hand. Beware of the opposite races, even though you are a little bit of other races, because they have a tendacy to kill their mommy to get ahead. In your case you turned the world upside down, now they will be full of smiles, and be glad to join you until they can find a way to scandalize your name, or to see you make a mistake; but time brings about changes. Even though you may have promised whatever during your campaign, but do not stricten yourself to that because time and situations will bring about change, and you must be able to “Flip the Script” when necessary.
I do not know why Dianne Feinstein feels that you will be a target at your inauguration because of you being the first Black President, but of course I emailed my perspective to her because of making such a negative comment. I would say, You make sure your security is in line. Do not leave that on anyone else; not unless it is Michelle. Why can we not get the free tickets to the inauguration sooner than a couple days before the 20th, and have to get them from our state Congress in person; which some of us do not know how to contact. She must forgot she was voted in by the people and for the people. I need two tickets!

In closing; know-one will understand what your do’s and don’t’s are until they realize that you were chosen by God to carry out Martin Luther King Dream, and that it is time for CHANGE!

I would like say that I am so proud that President Obama was able to bring the black community together in record numbers and not just for the fact that he is black but also the most qualified qualified hands down. He will be there two terms trust me. I must say that Im still excited about being part history still. We love you President Obama.

HI MY PRESIDENT. WE LOVE YOU AND YOUR FAMILY. IM ALMOST IN TEARS SENDING YOU THIS MESSAGE. I DON’T KNOW IF I SHOULD SMILE OR CRY. ME AND MY 14 YEAR OLD DAUGHTER LOVE OUR FIRST LADY. PLEASE TELL HER WE KNOW SHE DONE ALL THE WORK AND STRUGGLE WITH HER MAN FOR HIM TO BE WHO HE IS TODAY. LOL I DONT KNOW WHAT CLASS IM IN LOW CLASS OR THE LOWEST CLASS BUT I WAS BLESS TO STRUGGLE TO GAIN MY RIGHTS BACK AS A PARENT TO MY DINA BEING OF MY PASS RECORD. THAT TOOK A LONG TIME COMING BUT I DIDN’T GIVE UP. NEVER HAD I VOTED IN MY LIFE. AND IT FELT SO GOOD. TO BE HEARD AND TO BE COUNTED IN MAKING A DIFFERENCE IN THIS WORLD BY VOTING FOR YOU . WE LOVE YOU.

Remember your promise to the three women of DCP in 1985(Bagby-Augustine&Lloyd).

mr.president, now that u have won i first would congradualte u,and second i would like to see u make good on all the campagin promises u made and not be like mr.bush who was out only to finish what his father started.and third i would like to see u fully understand that with out ur help we will boned. be fair but be a just president.

Congratulations President Elect Obama and Family! I would like to commend you for “wanting” to take on the job of President with the economy in such a crisis sitution. I will continue to pray for you and your family’s safety, for your cabinet members and all your advisors that the right decisions will be made.

I would just like to agree with Gail G. Brooks, I pray that God will lead you and guide you into all truths. That the Angels of the Lord will protect and watch over you, that he will keep your wonderful wife and girls safe and strong, as you lead this Country to a new level. God bless you always, and may the favor of God continue to rest upon you and your family. Thank you for being in place where God could move through you at this hour and time in America. God bless you all and the families of the United States of America

I would express to him that, this is a divine assigment by God the father and that, he has to be led by the Spirit. Also, he needs to form a team of Strong Spiritual advisors to assist him in his decision making process.Things are going to change. He becoming president is about the nation coming together in unity love and peace. God bless our president and his family.

Hey Mr.President, My name is Vernecia Hutchison i just want to congradulate u on ur winning but i think it’s a shame that England Schools cannot say ur name or they will get wrote up nor can my cousin job say it neither or something will happen to them just wanted u to know that.

To whom is given much is required. First I want to say I am so proud of Mr. Obama and am encouraged. Proud for obvious reasons but concerned for the road ahead and the challenges he faces. Also the challenges we face as a nation, a people. Let’s not just put all the responsiblities on him and his cabinet. But let some of that responsiblity lie on our shoulders as well. Some of us have been given much according to American standards, and a lot of us according to 3rd world standards. Lets not be victims but do what is morally right and search our hearts and contribute by making every effort to pay our bills, not rely on the government to bail us out, not file bankruptsy,or allow our homes to go into foreclosure. Don’t lie, cheat, steel to get ahead but do the right thing. Money is not going to save us but our moral obligations to each other will.

Frist i am so happy as i know most are with all my heart i know that president elect will do all thats in his power to do his very best to tackle thee issues that has our country in such dier straits. My prayers are with him and his family trust in the lord and lien not unto your understanding for god will direct your path Amen.

I will like to congratulate the president elect. I will like to remind him that for him to have come this far is by the grace of God. Therefore, he should pray a lot that God should use him to fulfill his purpose for the country. The bible says that God rules the heart of kings, he should not forsake God but give him a chance in his administration in prayers.

I will like to remind Obama that he has a mission; his success will make a way for other minorities in the land to seek the exalted office of the president. He, therefore, cannot afford to fail.We should all give him all the support we can.

I employ Christians all over the world to pray for the success of his administration because with the prevailing economic situation and its consequent effect on the economies of the world, “the peace of the tree is the peace of the bird that perches on it.” May God grant him the wisdom to harness the human and material resources of this land for the benefit of everyone. (Amen)

To michelle, Since God made you his helpmate, in most cases Obama may not have time to pray due to pressure of state matters, always stand in the gap for him in prayers. When the situation seems difficult and confusing, pray no matter how short. God will manifest His power.

first off, i would like to share with everyone that will read my comment to obama is: (HE AND I HAVE THE SAME BIRTHDAY). HOWEVER, i happen to be a baby-boomer and have almost never follwed any presidential campaign. when i begin to watch Obama running for the highest office in the nation, I felt a great sense of spiRitualality. iIam so very, very proud to live to see this wonderful event take place and very, very proud of BARRACK OBAMA. I say to you ” Jesus voted ” YOU WILL PREVAIL MUCH LOVE Y. JOHNSON-CALIFORNIA

VERY, VERY,PROUD TO HAVE YOU AS PRESIDENT. ONLY GOD KNOWS HOW YOU WILL PREVAIL, THIS IS WHY HE PUT YOU THERE. I TRULY BELIEVE YOU ARE GOD’S MESSENGER “MUCH LOVE TO YOU PRESIDENT BARRACK OBAMA”. O-OUR B-BEST A-AFRICAN AMERICAN M-MAN A-AFTERALL. THIS IS WHAT YOU MEAN TO ME y.JOHNSON-CALIFORNIA

Im 14 years old and if i could say something to him it would be what could be done about the racism that goes on at a job my mother tells me to stay in school and dont end up like her in these dead in jobs where you get treated like its the 1800 hundreds she always upset and mad but what I dont get if all theses laws are past why are people still getting away with treating you bad I ask my mom and she says you have to have money to win cases and people get away with it thats what I want to ask him how do you help people like my mom even though she didnt go to college you still should be treated right at work. thank you

President Obama,

I would like to say that i am impressed with everything that you have done to help the people even before you’d ever considered running for president. I have been reading your stories and am completely blown away by all of your accomplishments despite the absence of your father. I am proud as a black woman raising a black son who is a straight A student. You have restored the hope that we have lacked since the death of Dr. Martin L. King Jr. I admire you for even wanting to make a change in this racist country. Those who did not want you in office are the “poor white trash of america” who really need your help, but are just to ignorant to realize it! God has his hands in this so now I proudly tell all of ignorant america to shut up and take a back seat while you get the job done that they have been unable to do for decades! The people support you, we love you, and you are in our prayers. If I had to give you advice I would say pray daily and trust no one around you other than your family!

President Obama I am very impressed with you.I am a single black women in my fifties,I am hard working woman, I have been working since I was 11 years old at every kind of job you you can nane, none were easy jobs, right now i’m working manufacturing and production and I have been doing that for 15 years, I looking forward to retirement in about 8 years, where I will be 62. I would like to retire at 55, why? because so many people who want to retire, early, don’t live pass 50 or 55, due to illnesses.I don’t think its fair that George bush increase the age of retirement to 66 and 70, that is too long for anyone to wait to retire, no one wants to work that long, I am asking you, would you find some way to bring the retirement age back to 55 for everyone ?

The Honorable President Elect Obama:

I am so very proud to have you as my president, and I wish my parents could too have lived to experience this.

I would like to express a need for Southern American People. We need your help in establishing a vision and dental plan for older persons ages 50+, who can’t afford this expense out of pocket. Eyes and teeth are very important. Maybe this is why people of this age, and who are diabetic are going blind and in bad health from poor dental care. Please consider this and try to make something happen positive on this issue. Tired of dying from heart ailments from no dental care, and going blind for lack of eye care.

Dear President (the Prophet) Obama,

Congragulations on the elected win and I look forward to your administration. I watched in recent months how some states allowed ex-cons the right to vote and now I think it is time to let ex-cons or should I say, “Ex-Offenders”, like myself, have the right to work! I am a 27 year old female, mixed Afro-American as well and I made a mistake in 2006. I had not been in trouble before or since the occurence! I served time (15days) and paid fines, what more does the system want from me? Since then I have graduated from school for Massage Therapy, I am currently a Cosmetology Student, and will be majoring on-line in Business Administration. With all this said, I cant even get a 8.00/hr job making sandwhiches with my background! It is extremely tough so now I am determined & almost forced to open my own Spa & Salon just to employ myself!

What steps will be made in the next four to eight years to make changes for people like me?

Please let change come, especially for those who changed themselves using belief!!

Thanks in Advance,
MCSmithDC

I would like to thank President Obama for having the courage and inspiration to run for president. He have gave our african american children hope that they too can become our next president. In the past when an african american child stated that they wanted to become the president we smiled and knew that it was a chance that their dream might not come true, BUT NOW president Obama paved the way and gave our children HOPE! Thanks Mr. President. Keep up the good work. You are so intelligent.
Kira

I would like to Thank Obama for his great leadership that he has shown to all men of our Nation, that any thing is possible if you believe and keep the faith and especially when you appreciate those who have supported you thoughout your whole struggle.

I cried like a river flowing when Obama was elected President, he really deserved it, and I really admired Michelle for the strength she has shown as a wife,Mother and First Lady of the United States she has class. The Obama family brought back what America really need and that’s family. We are not facing economic crisis in this country but moral crisis.

I love the Obama Family, their in my sincere prayers.

I saw them on ‘60 Minutes’ tonight…a very endearing couple. I love their banter and the way they interact with one another.

I’m inside. You’re my new boss. What can I do or how can I help you? Things are already starting to pick up in the iron gates. We are watching the diverse environment turn solid. The militants are stacking their chips fast, to give themselves a head start on structuring their comeback. Networking only instigates the sneers of criticism, so its best to know your PLAN! And, have the balls to pull IT out of your opponents, and commrades hands before it goes out the door. Make sure what is public is what you approve. We can not always win but we can make that effort and that gives you credit to justice. That’s what I see and can say. Read between the lines. You know what I know now.

Dear. Mr Obama

Continue with the great forward thinking. Remind everyone to actively strive for change. And I too believe that education is key. Good luck and Leave No Veteran Behind

Hello President Elect Obama. I am grateful and thankful to be able to witness this historic event. I am 52 years old and I know this was a blessing. The Bible is being fulfiied. You and my son, who is 18 years old, both set a record this year. I know you love basketball, so does he. He set a record by making all four shots in 12 seconds in the 7-up shoot out this year at a New Orleans Hornet/knicks game and you set a record becoming the 44th President.God bless you and keep him close to your heart.

Dear Mr. President Elect,

Congratulations! Without a doubt, this is an historic achievement, one I never though I’d see any time soon. But it does mark a turning point of attitudes, diversity, and acceptance.

During your campaign you talked about ending the war and bringing the troops home. As a veteran, I am pleased of this stance, but sobered by the fact that to make that happen, there’s so much that will have happen. Besides the obvious, the main reason I am against the war, and deciedly annoyed with the current president is that he failed to fully protect the troops on the ground. My fear is that during the redepoyment that protection will be lacking and many more troops will be markered. Mr. President Elect please do not allow this to happen. Engage and empower your commanders to properly protect their troops and bring them home.

The economy is almost in the tank. I am impressed of your approach to deal with this. A smart leader knows what he doesn’t know, and no president can be expected to be expert in all things. Be expert in leadership! Hire, select, draft, employ the smartest folks in industry and put them to work. Mind you, I never said anything about smartest democrat or republican. Get the brightest American, and you’ll be well on your way to reversing the mess we’re in.

I know you have your hands full with education, healthcare, jobs, and national security. No matter, you’ve got to tackle them in short order. I know you can’t do too much or too little, and people will second guess and Monday morning quarterback every thing you do. I expect you to get about the business of governing and leading this nation.

So you’ve got your hands full. Personal security, family matters, national issues, and a global looking glass that will magnify your every move. But I believe that your integrity, leadership, and discipline will do wonders to make your term successful. Besides, you’d have to make an effort to be as bad as our current president.

Mr. President Elect, now is the time to get to work, sir. I believe you have the support of this nation, its military and business leaders, and although the task at hand is large, you have the tools at your disposal to right this ship. God bless you and the United States of America.

Sincerely,

American Voter.

President Barack Obama,
First Giving All Glory and Honor to Our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ…
Whomever has a “personal” relationship with God(and doesn’t) can see that it’s God that has put you in this position.
I will continue to pray and ask God to cover you and your family/Vice-Pres.
You can do All things through Christ Jesus that Strengthens You..
It’s “New Beginninings”, and I welcome CHANGE!

Dear Mr. Obama,

What God has for you it is for you. I am so happy to have been a part of such a history making event. Who would have thought that you becoming the President would happen in my lifetime. I am so glad that my sons were able to vote along with my daughters-in-laws as well as many family members and friends. When I stood in the line and saw so many of my neighbors, I was estactic. It has been a long time since I have witnessed such unity. I feel in my heart that you will not let us down. Most of all, you wont let God down.

You have a very beautiful family. I enjoy seeing the love shine through that you have for your wife and daughters.

There is only one thing that I must ask of you. Please look out for the teachers in America. We work hard everyday to reach the students that we teach. We even reach out to students who are not in our classes. I have a five year old grandson who loves school and enjoys reading. I also have a nephew who although a freshman in high school enjoys coming to my school and working with my students. He has the ability to pursue any career, but he wants to be a teacher. Please allow the Education system to help, not hinder our future. You are a positive role model for the youth of today. Just think about it. Any one of the students I teach today could be the President of this great United States of America.

May God’s blessings continue to fall upon you and your family. I pray that I might one day meeet you in person.

I would congratulate him from the bottom of my heart, I would tell him I was so proud, that I choked with emotion when he won because as a kid I was told that all I could ever expect to be was a maid, that I never thought it would be possible for a black man to be in such a high position of power. I would also say that he needs to keep his friends close and his enemies closer.

I wonder is there anything that can be done when it comes to my husband and his co-workers when they need to take money out of their 401-k for a hardship they are told by their company that it cannot be taken out unless it is a life or death situation. I think that it is unfair that when they need it they should be able to get it when they need it the most. The company is called Industrial Air.Also they don’t even get a raise every year either. They may get a raise maybe once every 3 years. My husband has been there for 20 years and still needs to access money from his 401-k to pay off some of his bills to get him out of a crunch in the financial hardship. Please see what can be done about the 401-k to make it easier for the employees to be able to get some of their hrd earned money money out when they need it & please check on why they can’t get a raise but once every 3 years and what is really going on in that company. Also I have 401-k that I can take out too for a hardship w/citigroup but you have to have the doctor call to confirm it & that’s the only way that you can get hardhip money from 401-k.

Footnote:

Mr. President Elect,

There’s been much talk about your religion, muslim or christian. Quite frankly sir, I don’t care. Yes, I am a christian, and my teachings say to love thy neighbor as thy self. I’m also taught Jesus is Lord and Saviour. In that belief, I know there’ll be trials and tribulations that will be countered by the grace of God.

I believe too as you say, you are christian. In that belief, your decisions will be guided His power and wisdom. Either way, Mr. President Elect, govern wisely, govern reverently, govern by grace.

Sincerely,

An American [Christian] Voter

I would say “Stay True To Yourself”. I am a African-American woman of 64 years old and walked the walk and suffered the ignorance with Martin and the others back in Wheeling, W.VA with my parents and that is one thing they repeated to me daily. You’ve brought out the good in most of America Barack with your eloquence and family values so do not be swayed to be what has been in the past. Many blessings to you and your family.

Believe and live what you speak and remember that you are a MAN to yourself/family first and to your country second and that way you will always be true to yourself/country and that will carry over to us who look up to you and out for you.
Many blessings, may God keep you safe and humble.

I could never start off saying what “I” want to see happen to this world without thanking you in some way. So first of all, CONGRATULATIONS! You have made it clear that there can be great changes throughout this world. You are one the most globalized presidents that have ever stepped into office and I commend you for that. President Obama, you have made a better way for all races, not just black, and we hope that your years in office are put to good use. I will pray everyday that you and your family are safe from the dangers of others and may God give you full strength and power to help you deliver and achieve all that you can to “straighten out” this bind that we are in. You are our hope and we as a people (the ones that believed in you and voted for you) expect great things. I wish to see the elderly people taken care of for the most part, and I would definitely like to see a HUGE change in the economy. I know this doesn’t happen over night but, I believe that it can be done. You are heaven sent, believe that! You have given SO MANY people something to hold on to and you are OUR HISTORY. I appreciate your indurence and love for your nation, for if it wasn’t for that, you would have dropped out when the first rumor was spread. I’m 20 yrs old, I voted and I saw history in the making. You make me proud to be an American.
THANK YOU and may God bless you and your family!

OBAMA, IVE ALWAYS FELT SUCH A STRONG POSITIVE VIBE FROM YOU. AS I AM A VERY GOOD JUDGE OF CHARACTER FOR ME TO NOT PERSONALLY KNOW YOU OR HAVE SEEN YOU SPEAK IN PERSON THE VIBE WAS VERY STRONG.. I BELIEVED AND STILL BELIEVE SO MUCH IN YOU AND YOUR STRATEGIES TO SAVE THIS WORLD. THERE IS NO DOUBT IN MY MIND THAT YOU WILL CHANGE EVEN MORE THAN YOU ALREADY HAVE. WE ALL KNOW IT WONT BE EASY FOR YOU BUT WE ALL STAND BEHIND AND SUPPORT YOUR EVERY MOVE. I AM SO EXCITED TO HAVE BEEN APART OF HISTORY, HISTORY THAT I WILL ONE DAY TELL MY CHILDREN ABOUT. THE DAY THAT YOU PROVED THAT ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE ANYTHING CAN BE DONE WITH A SOLID HEART AND A SOLID MIND. YOUVE NOT ONLY MOTIVATED ME TO PURSUE MY DREAMS BUT TO NEVER GIVE UP ON THEM. I LOVE YOU OBAMA AND MICHELLE, YOUR DAUGHTERS ARE BEAUTIFUL ANN I CAN SEE THAT THEY TWO WILL GROW UP TO BE AS AMAZING AS BOTH YOU AND YOUR WIFE ARE . MAY GOD CONTINUE TO BLESS AND KEEP YOU YOUR FAMILY SAFE….

Dear President elected Barack Obama.First of all congratulations on your win as the new next president of the united states. Not because your a black man,but as being a man I think is highly qualified for the job.And as a very sincere person from the heart that I truly feel is deeply concerned and care about the economy and issues of this country. And mainly who I truly feel that you are dedicated to fullfilling the role in getting the job done, giving this country the change and betterment we terribly need.President elect Obama my concern here is that I want to bring to mind something I do not think anyone in this country realizes.People that live on disability such as myself. We have and live the worst lives.Yes there is always someone worst off than you,but my thing is people that lives on disability of every sort.We have the worst just as people living on low income which disability is low income. But my point is if it wasn’t for section 8,low income housing.People on disability has the worst lives.Receiving $500.00 to $700.00 a month is no way to live.If it wasn’t for section 8 and low income housing we the people living on disability would live no where, but maybe in homeless shelters. And if your not fortunate enough to get on section 8 or low income housing, because there are always waiting list and proper procedures to follow that takes years to go mostly. We would be homeless no where to live.Sometimes someone maybe fortunate enough to have relatives or friends that care and maybe you can live with them, but living with others mostly never workout. My other point here is that I think it should be greatly considered that people on disability should be receiving enough money monthly to be able to live comfortably.I know disability is determined by how much you have worked and the quarters that you’ve turned.I can not specifically state the basis of determination, but you need to look into this and consider making better determination changes for people living on disability. This is a very hard life for us.Its enough that we have been injured and have to except that we can not and work to support ourselves the way we were once use to.But then we have to except learning to live our lives scraping the bottom of the barrel. No this effect our lives further in the worst way, mentally and emotionally.I truly feels from the heart its not fair and we our country should not allow us to have to live this way.Its enough to live with whatever injuries we have sustained.$500.00 to $1000,00 monthly is not enough for us to live on comfortably.I know the disability determination is based on how much and how long you have worked, but unfortunately some of us are not fortunate enough to work for many years so that we would receive greater disability earnings. Just as my mother is 75 years old retired and unfortunately her profession was domestic work and cleaned a bank at night part time all her life and her employers carried no retirement for her in her domestic line of work.If it wasn’t for her part time employment she would not have her social security. Her domestic employers always told her they were paying in her social security. And it wasn’t true they were not paying social security for her.Only her part time employment was paying social security benefits for her. She is in the same boat as people on disability she live on her social security benefits and receives only approximately in the range of $500.00 monthly. What is this for her to live on.Its nothing she is not living in low income housing or section 8 because unfortunately we haven’t been able to get her in low income or section 8.So she live with my brother and its not so great for her.She prefer to live on her own.But can not afford to on $500.00 a month. I hope you consider and do something about this problem.Thank You very much and again congratulations on your win.I am happy and I am proud of you.

I would like to say congratulation to our 44th President. I’m very proud of Obama regardless of what people may say. You might as well change yourself to the ones that have hate in your heart. He is our President and there is nothing that you can do about that. God is love, God is peace, God is everything!!

I beleive in you.,because you beleive in yourself…..and….will you Marry me?? lol

Dear President Obama:

First, Congrats and all that. Rah, rah, rah! Booyaa and whatnot! Yippeee! Yay! And WHEW! God is soooo good! Yo, Awesome!

A’right, moving on,

As you well know, Mr. President, you have taken on a task of apocalyptic proportions. So I can recommend several excellent beauticians who can take care of that “snowcap” you’ll be sporting in a few months. Then again, this will probably be a very good look for you.

Now I know you will do your best to address every issue before you with the methodical deliberation that characterized your campaign. In addition to the very serious concerns posed by Betty, Inez, Ty, BuffGal, Errol, I would like to add a few lighter items to my wish list for you.

1. Revamp Veteran’s Day. My husband, a Navy retiree, found this suggestion in our local paper. Instead of government workers who have never seen a day of military service, how about giving actual VETERANS Veterans’ Day off? As a teacher, he has to work and expresses utter disgust at the hokey lip-service he gets every Veterans Day from his school. With yet a new population of combat veterans, he and I would like to see them have something more meaningful than ceremony.
2. Jesse Jackson, Jr. as Press Secretary.
3. Colin Powell as Secretary of Defense. Need I say more?

Peace!

Well, Young Man, MR. PRESIDENT ELECT, you did it! I am so proud of you and send blessings to you and your family. May you all be safe. I awoke this morning to the threats that Osama Bin Laden has bestowed on the World against you. Your path is Blessed and Chosen, not by you, but, by God, step on Brother and lead us all in this turmoiled World!

They say I am in a recession! What is that, OH!, you mean the way I and many of us have grown accustomed to living throughout our entire lives? It must be an abomination for the big guys holding all of that money, land, property, as well as monetary goods to finally come into the simple World that the majority of have learned to love it or leave it! Funny, I do not feel any different in my present situation, because I have been recessed, depressed and trying to make a simple existance for my family since the beginning of my Time and I will continue to do so, recessed or not!

Your job is not going to be easy and you will meet much adversity, but, I know that you will make a significant Mark of the Entire Universe and that is apparent already. It really brought tears to all of us who feared that you would not get this far, but, still you kept on with this Wonderful Campaign. You are truly a Blessed Man!

Mr. President elect Barack Obama all i have to say is its your season to be blessed. And we were blessed on Nov 4, 2008. Just remember God is watching over you and the first family.

Dear President Barack Obama:

May God bless you and your family while keeping his hand of guidance, safety, respect, humbleness, patience, trust, love, peace and soul over and around you at all times. Change the world one second, one minute, one hour, one day, one month and one year at a time while being true to your purpose and personal mission of leadership.
YES WE CAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Peace and God Bless!

If I were to write President Obama, I would explain to him how the local government has a way of helping the poor and at the same time not helping the low income. I say that because I feel as though I am in the lower income bracket of most Americans. I work at a local hospital as a patient care technician where I make less than 30,000 per year. I have three children who are aged 15, 9 and 9 months. I live in section 8 housing, so i do get some assistance with my rent; but because I get help with my rent I cannot get any assistance with paying any of my utilities. I get assistance with daycare for my baby only, and with the assistance I am still paying over 500 dollars a month. I am not elegible for food stamps or medical assitance. Why does it seem that the welfare system is supposed to give aid to families that is having trouble making ends meet;and are still independent in most areas, but is more willing to give aid to families that doesn’t have any motivation to try to support theirselves? I have seen women that don’t work, get welfare, foodstamps, free rent, medical, daycare, wic, energy assistance; and waste the funds that is intended for their children. Yet women like myself can’t get any help because we make too much money? Since when is making 15.00 per hour too much to support a family of 4? I know you may be thinking where is the fathers? My oldest daughters father is just not in the picture, supportive or financially. My son’s father is deceased. My youngest daughters father is an ex-offender who is still looking for work. That’s another situation in itself. Why is it a stipulation of parole for the ex offender to get a job to remain out of jail, but yet there are very few places where they can get a second chance of becoming an upright, law abiding citizen? It seems as if the women are prisnors of welfare and the men are just prisnors. What can of change can you bring for my life?

May God Bless you continue to let him use you one day at at time and you and god together will make a change.

President Elect Obama!! I was so very happy to hear that you won the election,we know that God work in mysterious ways and I”m so glad that you were the Blessing-thank god for you and all that you say @ do,but please be careful, the world is about to change for the better!!! May God bless you& your family!! Judy Jackson

mr oboma i know you will never read this but i am a women who would love to go to school. but some cant go back because of mistakes they made in the past if they are going to bail out all these other people what about the ones that want to do better and all the single mothers that cant get a job. kids are suffering and the mothers want more for there children i want to start an organization like that.

Mr. Obama,

I would first like to say congratulations on a race well ran. I am so proud of you as a person, a man, and our first black President. You did us proud is an understatement. I would like to say to you, never forget that you are human, and that all humans make mistakes, but God doesn’t and that’s why you are our President. I watched your campaign unfold; never missed a day of Count Down, Hardball, Verdict, Rachel Maddow and sometimes Larry King Live. I stayed on top of all that you were doing, and you did an excellent job! You showed your true spirit to the world, and for that I am greatful. You have a heart and soul bigger than this world, and I feel like Chris Matthews said “You were hand delivered to us by God”. I admire you, and your family, you show how much you love your family at all times and that is to be commended. I also love Michelle for being the strong women that she is, and I know she played a huge part in you being as successful as you are; behind every great man is a great woman. I will never forget the long awaited November 4th, it seemed surreal, but was an estatic bliss. I hope and pray that I am able to go to the inauguration. I’m on the list for tickets, but it seems very slim to none that I will receive one. Whether I’m there in person or not, I will be there in spirit. God Bless you and your family Mr. President. I will always keep you in prayer!!!!!!!!!

Well Mr. President, you did it. I am awed each day by the success of this year, where our people, Americans, are concerned. I see the elation in the eyes of the young and old over this. Phase one is finally reached. I am with you all the way, so continue to stay focused on your plan and your promises. Just as it took all of us to get to this point in history, it will take all of us to be successful with the changes that are necessary to show the world what we African Americans have known for so long. Whenever we get involved with something, we change it for the better and make history.

Mr President-elect:
You owe the American people a great amount of gratitude for giving you the oppunity to serve them. You were not elected to create history, you were elected to serve (a servant of this great country) and that must be the primary focus as ou lead.

Congratulations Mr. President…I am so excited that I, in my sixties, lived to see what I have read about in the Bible for so long, how God can touch and place people just when and where he wants them to be to cause a nation to rise. I know that God is alive because of you Barak Obama. I am in awe of your wisdom and knowledge. I love you and I will keep you and your loving family in my prayers always.

If I could talk to President-Elect Obama, what would I tell him?

I congratulate you on the anticipated success I knew God had already ordained you to be. We’ve come a might long way and yet there’s still much work to be done. We as a people have your back and will come together collectively as a nation, individually in our communities and families in unison for the most part. I will continue to keep you and your family in my prayer and God will handle the rest.

What wisdom would I pass onto Obama?

The wisdom I impart, is an old infamous saying that I hold true to this day. ” Many are called, but only a few are chosen” You were chosen and no weapon formed against you shall prosper.

Peace & Blessings.

If I could speak to Barack Obama, I would thank him for not giving up. His tenacity and will encouraged me to push past my circumstances and fight past obstacles that were blocking my own future. I would thank him for demonstrating the sort of character that we look up in the dictionary. I would thank him for being willing to carry a mantle of change up to the White House during one of the most transitional times in history. I would thank him for agreeing to take on the future of my children on his shoulders as president. I would thank him for demonstrating what it means to be a committed husband and father. For wisdom, I would give him a quote that my friend Dr. Lakita Long once said and that is “Change only happens when what you know is no longer good enough”. For encouragement I would tell him my own personal quote and that is “Failure is an act of giving up without hope”.

If I could write a letter to President Elect Barack Obama I would say

Many people are really having a problem to getting their feet on the ground because lot’s of corporations are taking advantage of consumers simply because they can. I believe that the companies that are coming to the government for a modified “welfare program” should be held accountable in every sense of the “word”.

A lot people are trying to do more but because products being built to fail earlier to increase sales people can’t move on to the next thing because the are busy paying for broken stuff. ex. refrigerators, computers, cars.

I know that type of accountability would probably be extremely hard if not impossible to keep up with. So I really believe in some type of program for the working man. There is a lot of talk about education, but more than likely no one is going to get down into the trenches to help certain people. I know there will always be poor people but right now there seems to be excessive poverty. Obviously people make some bad decisions people that make $36million a year to people that make $36thousand a year to people that make $36hundred. Gas prices have declined to what they should actually be a fair amount of money.

I just hope that you will consider if there is anything that can be done to help middle class to poor people. Jobs, job creation, Gas credits, Food credits, some help with whatever the basic needs of life with just a little fluff (more of a cupcake and not a whole cake). At this point I don’t think there a any crumbs falling down beside the last stimulus. If there is a Billion dollars worth of money left from last year people really don’t get it. People don’t understand.

I realize people still have to have drive, talent, determination to make it.

Is there is any generosity or compassion focus on family and the economy, honesty or integrity left over for the regular man.

A lot of people believed the last President even if they did not agree with him they believed it was the best way and all of those people along with everybody else are getting hit right now gas prices have dropped and it feels like the price of gas is exactly what it should be right now.

I don’t have to worry about if I put gas in my car and drive across town I won’t have money for food or household items. It seems like people especially corporate CEO’s Presidents and the like have lost touch with reality and are living out some type of fantasy. Which is scary because it tells me that they under-served us and were overpaid for it.

That extra money could have been going into employees pockets or some type of 401K that when and if they got laid off or had hard times they could borrow that money.

I do believe that you are the best man for the job and I am hoping with everyhing I have that’s why I took the time to write this letter. I did not want to write it.

I know that it is a every man for himself type of world I get that that’s also why I wrote this letter. I hope this makes sense. This is my last message for real this time.

excuse the typo’s

Im so overjoyed that change has come about and someone had the strength and courage to do what you certainly have me prayers and thoughts are with you and yes congratulations to you.

CONGRATS!!!Mr.President[elect]
I love the way you’ve ‘hit the ground running’as you say. God be with you and yours.

Please Senator Barack Obama do not put Hillary Clinton on your team. If I wanted to vote for Hillary I would have voted for her. Do me a favor find a new Secretary of State to represent America.

I would like to have tickets to the inaugural. If at all possible. I was told they are free. We all love and support you and want to be ther for your special moment.

Hi.
I’d tell Obama to pray daily because prayer is the only way this country can turn around. I’d tell him to ask God for guidance daily and not to put trust in man because God is in control.

I’d say seek God and draw nigh to God and God will draw nigh to him.

If I could write a letter to Mr. President
Obama I would say, Thank you so much for the change that we are about to encounter,I am forty-three yrs. old, and I never ever felt like a american, never felt that I belonged here even though I was born and raised in this country of which my ancestors created, always feeling like no matter how far we’ve come, I wasn’t going anywhere. I’ve only voted three times in my life, twice I was unhappy, but you what they, the third time was a charm, boy was this

First I would Congratulate him on Beating McCain and Ask One Question that is, think we can get prayer back in the schools. can we have a national pray day in America. I would like to know about allowing people on S.S.I getting that Stimulate check!!

I would ask him to share with me his manner of thinking. What impresses me the most is that while many of us, including myself, struggle with paying the bills and believing that we can get a 9-5 in this financial climate, something inside him told him he could run for President and win. His dreams were and are so big and there is a way of thinking that precedes that kind of action. I would ask him to mentor me for about 2 years (make sure I have enough time). I want to grab a hold of the Christlikeness in him that says all this, ALL THINGS, are possible for him who believes.

Dear President Elect, Barrack Obama,

I was moved and cried like a baby while listening to your reliable, brilliant victory speech - speech of a different-unique individual, a precursor of change.
However, I’m a big girl, born end of WWII in Slovakia to a Polish mother and a father that has already been “taken” by the “others”. Since 1949, I’ve been raised in Israel in a home and atmosphere of a Holocaust survived family. From early childhood I absorbed the mantra, which I disliked, that whoever is not from the same milieu is obviously less worthy. My reasoning to this behavior was that people that suffered from oppression tend to discriminate against the “different” individuals.
You, President Elect, Barrack Obama, with the support of your loving family, was raised to become a very special, authentic and courageous person, what enabled you to reach the point where you are today. I truly worship you.
Coming week I visit DC and wish I could kiss your hand, the Polish way, with tears in my eyes.

Sincerely,
Miriam Romm

“Fresh Start For all working American People”

It seems that all the big Ceo’s have been bailed out when the middle class and poor should have been bailed out.

I think he should come up with a plan that the bailout would pay off all credit cards and personal loans that the american people had to use to make ends meet during this economic crisis.

Also there needs to be a law that stops the creditors from harassing by phone when people don’t have the money to make ends meet during the crisis.

Instead of the big companies being the
ones getting the bailout we the American pople need the bailout.

Respond to that, cause I sure voted!

P.S.
One after thought I think that all National Guard service men curent and prior service should have the right to receive medical care at all VA’s whether they have active duty time or not. They served our country just as proud as the ones in Iraq.

Dear Barack Obama,

I am shocted at how you ran this race so peacfully and calmly, and also for you to be the first african american to run in the dimocratic nomonasion for president.I feel as though i have grown confedently since you won,I like to tell my self “Im black and im proud”.you have shone that ANYONE can do any thing if we strive to be the bes t we can be no matter what may come my way. Thank you and i wish you good luck Im praying for you and your family!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

May god bless you!!!!!!!!!!!

OBAMA,JUST LIKE TO SAY,MAY GOD FOREVER BLESS YOU AND YOUR FAMILY.AND THANKS FOR THE STIMULAS PAYMENTS THAT SUPPOSE TO BE COMING OUR WAY,BUT WHAT ABOUT THE ONES WHO DIDN’T OR COULDN’T FILE TAXES.PLEASE CONSIDER THAT.MAY GOD BE WITH YOU THROUGH OUT YOUR TERM.

I would say change is in our future thanks to the world who elected mr obama as our president. our lives should be a lot different now and congrats on your win as our new president we love you and your family you’ll are beautiful.

We are truly blessed to have President-elect Obama as our 44th President. President Obama you have trully inspired a nation like never before. I’ve never seen so many people hungry for change in my life. I pray God continues to bless you and your precious family. The way you ran your campaign, that’s how you run the White House!!!!!! With a level head and tremendous dignity. WE are here to help in anyway necessary. It will take us (as the American people) to do our part in rebuilding this country that we so dearly love. “United we stand, divided we fall”. We trully need to take that saying to heart or we wont have a United States of America worth fighting for. We are behind you 100%.

Dear Mr.President,

God is faithful, powerful and true to his holy word. God said to tell you to pray for favor and read wisdom book ( Proverbs)! That you are servant in this journey as President of The United States of America ! God love you and he is with you always until the ends of the earth.

I WOULD LIKE TO SAY IM SO HAPPY THAT MR.OBAMA IS MAKIN A BIG CHANGE AND WHEN I HAVE KIDS IM GON TELL MY KIDS THAT, THAT CAN BE BLACKS IN THE WHITE HOUSE IM SO HAPPY OBAMA WON I DON’T KNO WAT TILL DO I LOVE HIM SO MUCH. CAN U PLEASE MAKE SURE EVERY ONE GET MEDICAL CARDS CAUSE I REALLY DO NEED ONE. BUT I LOVE U SOOOO MUCH OBAMA!! IM MZ.OBAMA AND I WAS A FIRST TIME VOTER.

Dear President-Elect Obama:
In your victory speech you said that you will always be honest with us about the struggles we must tackle.
Please keep your word. We need a president who comes to us as true participants in the running of this nation; who not only tells us what they have decided to do, but honestly informs us about the problems that face us as a nation. On issues that will directly affect us, please be truthful. Let us know where we stand and what we must do in order to heal whatever the problem is at that moment. If you find that financially we are worse off than was thought, PLEASE, Mr. President, tell us. Explain it to us. Put it in terms we can understand, a sort of Econ 101 for America at large.
The genuine love and affection that you and your wife share, that has been so evident in all your interactions in public, please do not hide that. America is a nation in major transition. The very foundation of our nation, the family, has been threatened, shaken to its core. We need to see the affection, the unity that your family displays. Promise yourself and us that you will make time for your wife and daughters, that you will still shoot hoops, you will have breakfast with your family as often as possible, and no matter how difficult it all becomes please do not resume smoking. We want and need you healthy and whole mentally, physically, and spiritually.

Lastly, do not forgo your relationship with God. If you are to lead us with wisdom, then you absolutely must maintain your God connection. Irrespective of each of our individual religious beliefs, I think all of us would feel a little better knowing we have a man at the helm of this nation who knows that in and of himself he alone, cannot lead alone- it takes wisdom from God plus an honest relationship with the people he is leading.

May God richly bless you and your entire family as you seek to lead our great nation.

Sincerely,
Karen Stafford

I thank God for such a time as this, a time I never could imagine would have been seen by these eyes in this lifetime. His word is true that if we are obedient unto His calling that he shall make every crooked road straight and that if we move when He says to move that all shall be well and we shall succeed and prosper.
I have been so excited about this historical event, I have not been able to contain myself. To have a minority, educated and poised family in the White House, someone who looks like me and could have possibly been through some of the same trials and tribulations is too a blessing.
I pray that not only will the banking and automobile industries have some relief, but the people dealing with the housing issues and unemployment shall also receive a forgiveness not a forebearance. If they don’t have the money to pay due to whatever their situation may have been, then how can they ask for foreberance. What they really need is a forgiveness. In essence this is what is happening with the banks and automobile industries.
My prayer is for continued favor, protection and wisdom to flow over President Elect Obama and his family.
May the will of God never take you where the Grace of God will not protect you.

Mr. President:
Keep on doing it the right way. It is so wonderful to see you doing all the things needed to hit the ground running after you are officially sworn in. There was no doubt in my mind that this is what you would do. You are a brilliant man and I am living to see the change come. I know that you will use “all the tools” that are at your disposal.
GOD BLESS YOU AND YOUR LOVELY FAMILY, PRESIDENT BARACK H. OBAMA

When the righteous are in office the people rejoice (Proverbs). Thank God for you President Obama as this is the case even across the globe. If I could give you advice it would be to consider a balance and check system similar to that of the governance structure. Only apply it to every vital department within the structure. It is very possible that a great deal of our economic woes are due to mismanagement on a lower scale.
For example my crisis entails the U.S. Department of Education. The Office of Civil Rights is worthless if they’re not doing their job. For the last 9 years I have been fighting a discrimination issue that has blatantly violated my “right to a fair education”. It is presently in the Appellate Court of NYS 3rd Dept. It also appears that I not able to recieve a fair shake even at this level. However I believe God will give me the victory because I have done nothing to warrant Cortland University or NYS from granting my Bachelors in Political Science. Mr. President I endured many obstacles in earning this degree. As a result of SUNY and judicial misconduct my endeavor to become an attorney has been destroyed. Might I add this blatant act of discrimination transpired two weeks prior to my last semester attending Cortland U. I had also just receive acceptance to an interimship at Family and Children’s Services and a tenative acceptance to Law School at Northern University in Ohio. If there is any chance of you giving this matter some sort of attention (as I know that it appears to be minor in comparison to the task you are presently undertaking)it would assist in the eradication of unfair treatment in the realm of education. There is a saying that goes like something to this effect: “In fighting the monster one should be careful that he/she does not become the monster” Mr. President I am trying not to become like the monster and its not easy. Thank you and God Bless you as your steps are ordered by him.

First I would like to say I am so happy for your winning the presidential election. I feel you are the right person for the job. You are coming up against a tough situation and I know things are not going to change over night, but with God’s help and the help of your wonderful spouse I know you can do it. I am also writing this email because like so many people I am in a great financial bind. I have less than 30 days before my home will go into foreclosure and my husband and I both lost our jobs and I don’t know what I am going to do and where I am going to go. I need to know if there is any grant someone can tell me about that will help me right away to keep my home. I am a 64 year old senior citizen and I don’t know how I am going to make it. Please find it in your heart to tell me where I can get some emergency help before the next 30 days. Please let me know as soon as possible. May God continue to bless and keep you and your family. Thank you in advance, Dolores M. Rivers

SALAM HANGAT DARI INDONESIA.

I would ask the president elect if there was anyway we could start goups for young men. For them to have a place or person to turn to when times are not what the feel they should be. I have an 11 year old son. I keep him into many sports and a close eye on him. I would like to start I boys group. I know of many things and places to help yound girls. Young men need that outlet to. Most community centers kick the young men out at 5 or 6pm when the fun is just to get started for them. Then were do they go my son comes in the house but most his age or younger or on the streets. I want better for my son and other people sons. Just need the right direction to go in. Thank you and congrads Mr. Obama!

Mr Obama,
Thank you for carrying on MLK legacy. I know he is very proud of us as a culture. My blessings are with you and your family. You have opened the eyes of many with your victory. People like myself, whom arent really into politics sat closely to the T.V. sets watching every debate and every clip of you as possible, hoping for the best. I thank you for your inspiration, perserverance, confidence, ambition and the list goes on. You, Mr. Obama is what this country needs.
Love and Blessings,
Nicole

Mr. President-Elect first of all I want to say congradulations on the historic win to become our next president. I was so overwhelmed with emotion the day of the election, and more so the day after.

I am glad to see this day, especially for my father to SEE a black man voted into office in his lifetime. With GOD all things are possible!!!

You do not look fearful and you shouldn’t be. Because nothing will happen to you or your family UNLESS GOD allow it. So you keep doing what you do,Barack.
And I simply cannot wait to see the inauguration televised! Yeah!!!

President Elect Obama,

First and foremost, I would like to congratulate you on winning the Presidential Election.

As we all know, we are living in a recession and I am feeling it.

I lost my job over a year ago and my Unemployment Insurance Benefits have exhausted.

I was a fomer employee with the State of Maryland and I would like to return to State Service.

I am sure that you are aware of the hiring freeze that President Bush has placed on State Employment over the last three years or so.

I have over 10 years of State Employment invested, but with this hiring freeze in effect, it’s making it difficult for me to regain my place in State Service.

Could you please lift the Maryland State Government hiring freeze.

Dear Obama,

I don’t need much just enough to pay off these loans and a couple credit cards. However, If the above is not doable I will wait patiently for those 40 acres and a plow (you can keep the mule, Bush was way more jackass than I care to recieve.)

I would like to congratulat President-Elect Obama first of all. I would like to let him know that I was a very proud supporter and voter for him. Although I didn’t begin that way I started with Clinton but after I listened to the facts, I sided with my new President. I understand that you cannot fix this country in the blink of an eye. I would like to say that I understand all of the bailouts of wall street but we also need some relief here on main street. It appears that there are major bailouts to companies that are now clenching to those funds and reluctant to lend to the people. There needs to be a real solution to this problem. I just want to say that I commend you in your efforts and I absolutely love you Mr. Obama. My first lady is fierce and is the epitome of beautiful. Take care of those beautiful girls and please help us in these trying times.

Congratulations to you Mr. President! I am very proud of you and will support you 1n your endeavors to help the U.S. I know the economy is #1 on your plate, I just pray that all these bailout requests help the main street. The American poor and middle class need this the most.

I also keep you and your family in prayer for guidance and safety. I also would like to see you and Colin Powell work together and for you and Jesse Jackson to make amends if it hasn’t been done.

We need peace in this country and people make mistakes and say things that aren’t so nice. I believe Jesse’s apology was sincere and we need to move on from that and focus on getting America back together. God Bless You, family, and your staff. I look forward to visiting the White House some time next year, maybe you will be there where I can meet you.

30 years ago as a traveling sales person
I would say to parents of mixed children make more babies that is the race should rule our country. They would have interest in the welfare of black & whites. But they got us again. We did not have a presidental race, if we did who was in it Macain? Right before our eyes AMERICA WAS ROBBED. And a black man was used to focus the attention of America.

First, I would like to give a heartfelt “Thank You” to our Creator Almighty God and to His Son the LORD Jesus Christ for seeing you through this and having your back all the way.Second, what Ms. Gale Brooks said, I believe with all my heart has some truth. I’ve followed you after watching the following documentaries “The real Barack Obama” and Obama goes to Africa. The more I’d watch the film the more I’d found myself rising up from a inclined position to fully sitting up with renewed hope and a sense to peace that a change was gonna come. After watching the documentary “the real BO” and taking notice of all the obstacles and hurdles you have over cometh (ie the bills you were pushing for with the housing in the lower poverty stricken areas and Congress/Senate whichever kept stalling on as well as running for the seats in your district (Senate/Congress) and your run for the U.S. Senate, I told myself that God has chosen that man, and that Jesus was going to with him and see that this calling will come to pass. With that said, if I could talk to President-Elect Barack Obama and to First-Lady Michelle Obama (if it would help my case) and to plead to him and to throw myself at his mercy, that if he has taken the stance that a woman has a right to abort a child, because it is her body, to please reconsider that thought. I agree it is her body and she can do as she pleases Except for when it comes to carrying a child. Life begins with that very first heartbeat. A beating heart signifies Life. And to snuff out the heart is (let’s keep it real) murder. Women today is using abortions as a means of birth control. If that’s what she wants to do, fine, But don’t me to pay for it with my tax dollars. Mr. President-elect, please do not continue the funding of Planned Parenthood. Please do not allow federal funding of abortions and if the lady choses terminate, step up to the plate and get with its dad and take care of your problem, or she can give that child an opportunity to be adopted out to a loving couple who would jump at the opportunity to wrap their arms around that child and commit themselves to loving, nurturing ,teaching, and giving themselves in caring for and raising that child up to be who knows, maybe someone who will go down is history as one of the world greatest, and you mother can say in your heart with pride “I’ve gave him/her life”. That is all I would like to say, and ask God to continue to guide you in doing the right thing and to ask you to spend time in Gods Word and make time nightly for it for your family and for your mental well being. You will find peace in the word and let’s keep it real, you are taking on an mighty, mighty, weighty, huge task up-on your shoulders. Allow Gods word to help balance the weight on your shoulders if not bear most of the weight. Your first-lady (your queen) is strong and she will protect your homefront and first and foremost, your daughters, but this is your cross and her strong yet tender shoulders. Let her be your rock of Galtbragter that you lean and the Word of God the rock on which you stand. May God bless you and your family, protect the Obama family during their awaking hours as well as during their hour of slumber. amen. p.s. To Mr & Mrs Obama, in sheilding your children as you are to do as parents, let your children be children. Keep their lives as normal as possible. Let them be kids. Make that the first-mom-in-law job. Bring lots of love and laughter to the White House. Host sleep-overs, and girls night outs, pool parties girls nite in, with their friends. Grandma the secret service will protect them, you keep them busy. Be the grandma who remembers that little girls like to have fun too. And one more thing grandma, make sure that it is understood that the time spent for the family is not to be interrupted unless it is absoultly necessary. The Prez and his #1 lady needs that time to come together alone after spending a long trying day tending to the country’s to do a little tending to each others need.

Dear: President Obama

I can not speak in words alone how proud I am for your candidacy, as the president elected. Congradulations! I would like to address some grave concerns about what has actually taken place here in Los Angeles, for quite some time now. Such concerns involve housing employment and natural citizenship as a whole. Foreclosures in Riverside County our next door neighbor is on the rise. I say that to say this, low-income housing is limited and section 8 funding is not available. For a long time now that can be offered for other econimcally disadvantaged families that are eligible, who need it desaperately, but is not available. In fact people are homeless, on the verge of becoming homeless because access to jobs are so few and scrace. To make a long story short their’s too many people and few jobs. The same problem has occured with low-income housing which is 30% of income for rent, to house eligible families.
When it comes to citizen’s of this country we should consider ourselves as one big family. Family is suppose to mean something. “United we stand divided we fall”. What I’m trying to say in our homeland we should take care of natural born citizens first. Having said that, their is an old saying “take care of home first” and not continue to treat citizens as second class citizens. I would like to reap the benefits of this country and not be treated as second class. Natural born citizens should have first picken to reap benefits and not get the left overs. Insteas it’s the reverse we get the eleft overs, this should not be the case. Whether it’s low-income housing to college grants enough is enough. Let’s face reality and facts. If we decide to live in another country we can not and will not get much of anything,
President elect, I feel sorry for you, you’ve got some big decisions you will have to decide on eventually. The economy is out of control, as you said it in the media we got ourself in this hole, we have find a way out. One thing for sure their is too,too many people and the infux of this huge surplus of people migrating to the U.S.A. plays a big role in the economy and multiple crisis we face. You represent a great leader, brave, integrity, strong will, of good character, and a-go-getter. which indicates you’re not easily defeated. You reflect the well to do charcter of Barack in the book of judges chapters4 thru 7 in the holy bible. Please consider

Please consider fulfillment of your position to the fullest to that of Barack in the holy scripture. What a blessing a present day inspiration today to that back in Barack’s day in the bible. What profound leadership to resemble, to share the exact qualities to a great commander of his army to that of commanding officer of president of the United States.

Sincerely,
Hope

I AM LIKE MANY OTHERS, A HARDWORKING AMERICAN AND JUST LIKE MANY OTHERS,HAVE MADE A FEW BAD CHOICES IN LIFE.I WOULD LIKE VERY MUCH TO BE ABLE TO GET A DESCENT JOB AND CONTINUE TO LIVE THE AMERICAN DREAM.WHAT I CAN NOT UNDERSTAND IS HOW IS THIS GOING TO BE POSSIBLE WHEN YOU GOT EMPLOYERS HOLDING YOUR PASS AND ANYTHING ELSE THEY CAN AGAINST YOU TO KEEP YOU FROM GETTING A JOB.I AM PRESENTLY UNEMPLOYED AND WAS RESENTLY TURNED DOWN FOR A JOB BECAUSE I FILED A WORKMAN COMP CLAIM BACK IN 1984.

President Obama,
In our lifetime, there have been great moments in history as well as terrible moments. My pastor, Bishop Eddie Long, said in the first sermon of this year, 2008, that this is a year of change. A year of new things and triumphs over tragies and victories over challenges. So much of it happened on November 4,2008.
Please know that whatever you face in the next four years, you have so many people, not just in this country, but around the world, who are and will continue to pray for you. This was God ordained. You are here at the right time to usher in the right changes, not just for our nation, but other nations around the world. Every step you take, every decision and every choice you make shall be guided by the hand of God. Never think for a moment, no mater the
