OBAMA’S CHIEF OF STAFF: RAHM EMANUEL

Sen. Barack Obama has recruited democrat Rahm Emanuel to be his chief of staff. Emanuel is the fourth ranking Democrat, and a polarizing figure in his own right. Described by some as a “political gangster,” he has a reputation for being no-nonsense and all business. People either like him or hate him, but they respect his swagger. He’s the kind of guy you posse up with when you want the job done because people either get behind you or get out your way. He’s well-organized, moderate and straight up the middle, avoiding any political or ideological lean to the left or right. He doesn’t make alliances of convenience or party affiliation: he just handles his. The kind of dude you hope has your back going into a sticky situation. But that’s just my read.

What do you think of Obama’s pick for Chief of Staff?  Tell us here.
