SARAH PALIN FOR PRESIDENT 2012?

We know the problem with having two “mavericks” on a political ticket, just like the Republicans are finding out, is that one of them will inevitably start bucking, like Gov. Sarah Palin. There are reports afoot that as we take the final lap into an historical administration (no matter who wins), Palin is pushing back against McCain advisors in favor of pushing her own message, whatever that is. “She is a diva. She takes no advice from anyone,” said one McCain adviser.

I could have seen that coming—they are of two different generations, two different backgrounds, and we knew those ideologies would clash. We all knew that Palin was window dressing and not the perfect match Sen. John McCain would have you believe, and the proof of the pudding is in the tasting. So, on top of flailing in the polls, McCain has to rein in his running mate. She doesn’t have the right answers to questions about policy and the economy, and you can get the sense that she is just along for the ride: in some ways, like by going on Saturday Night Live making fun of herself, it’s as if she’s given up.

All this said, I think she’s flying off the rails and rejecting the conventional wisdom of her running mate because she wants to make her own mark, and looking at a loss in this race, she may think about making a comeback down the road. What do you think?

Is Sarah Palin getting ready to run her own Presidential race four years from now?  Tell us here.

VOTE EARLY NOW

All across America, people are voting early and you can too. Polls are expecting a record turnout, and every vote counts. You can cast your vote early in many states, or get an absentee ballot like I did, being registered in Florida but now residing in Cleveland. Contact your county or state’s office and request information. CNN is reporting that more Democrats than Republicans are voting early to avoid the rush. In most states, all you need is a driver’s license or state ID. But you need to contact your officials to find out for sure, as time is running out.

These are the states where you can vote early, and their websites.
