DIDDY SELLS MAGIC CLOTHES

Sean_combs_pub_tv2_noTHE FACTS:
Diddy calls his Sean John clothing line “fashion Viagra.”

THE SPIN:
Diddy Puff is getting crazier by the article. BANG Showbiz quotes the multi-tasking mogul describing his line as “fashion Viagra.”

Puff DiddY says: "Sean John is fashion Viagra. I’ve had 40 year-old men tell me that once they started wearing Sean John, everything changed for them, including their sex life."

First, what 40-year-old man is wearing Sean John? Second, what 40-year-old man needs a Sean John shirt to be more virile? Third, even if this is a true story, did we need to know any of this?

All of you older men out there getting your knocks off from a Sean John sweater, have fun…I guess.

YOUR SPIN: Is there really such a thing as “fashion Viagra?” Tell us here.

ICE-T TO MAKE PIMP DOCUMENTARY

Ice_t_poster_netTHE FACTS:
Ice-T is producing a documentary on the pimp-turned-novelist Iceberg Slim.

THE SPIN:
Naturally, a pimp would be Ice-T’s hero. So, with that in mind, it should be no surprise that Ice-T is the driving force behind a documentary highlighting the life of man who dropped the backhand to pick a pen. Speaking with the New York Posts’ Page Six, Ice-T told the paper, "Few people know the story behind the man and it’s time that story is told." Iceberg Slim is one of the most successful Black novelists of all times, producing popular titles like Trick Baby and Mama Black Widow. The latter title is currently being made into a film. On Slim’s legacy, Ice-T said, "Iceberg Slim has been one of the most influential people in Black culture."

I don’t know whether I should be mad at that statement or cry because there’s a lot of truth to it.

YOUR SPIN: Is it important to tell the tale of Iceberg Slim? Tell us here.

Yes, you read that right: A film starring Black people with no overbearing stereotypes is due in theaters.

Filming is set to begin in 2009. What part of 2009 depends on the availability of the play’s stars – including Terrence Howard, Anika Noni Rose, James Earl Jones and Phylicia Rashad.
