CONFIRMED: 112 IS OVER

THE FACTS
112’s Michael Keith talks about his departure from 112 with Singersroom.

THE SPIN
I thought without a hit in years, and not-so-Slim-anymore with his own solo single, I didn’t think people actually wondered whether or not 112 was still a group. But I guess if folks are still clinging to hope that Jodeci will return (count me as one of them), the same can be said of 112 fans. Give it up, though. It’s not happening.

Here’s what Mike told Singersroom: “I’m not sure what the status is of the other three members, but myself, I am no longer in 112.”

And there you have it. As for Mike, he’s now a solo artist, and you can find his self-titled debut album here: Michaelkeithonline.com.

112 BREAK-UP OVER MONEY

THE FACTS
Michael Keith claims 112 broke up over accusations of theft in an interview with EURweb.

THE SPIN
It took me a second to remember which one Michael Keith was, but I think I got it now. It’s the other tall one, right? Anyway, he has a solo album, and like most people that release solo albums long after the group they came from fell up, he has to get some press. And what better way to get press than to talk about your ex-members. So that’s what Mike’s doing in an interview with EURweb’s Lee Baily.

Mike claims that another group member was stealing money. Though he won’t say names, he did say, “I had to leave because I found out that a certain member of the group took my publishing check. It was made clear that it was intended for myself and another member, Slim.” He then went on about truth, it being important, yadda yadda, group is over.

Don’t even bother playing the guessing game of who done it – one of the members has already come forth to deny everything.

In a press release, Q. Parker said he didn’t know the group broke up as they’ve been doing shows over the last year and as recent as this weekend.

He said: “In regards to the accusations of theft or mishandling of funds, its comes down to something very simple - As recently as last week we went to court about this very topic and I was exonerated. All of the guys from 112 are like my brothers, and I have nothing but love for them. I may not agree with what Mike is saying, but I respect his right to speak his mind.”

I’m surprised they even have a publishing check to fight over considering they were signed to Bad Boy.
