Billboard reports that Brandy’s latest album, “Human,” debuted at No. 15 with sales of 73,000.

THE SPIN
Either ya’ll didn’t know Brandy had an album out or ya’ll didn’t seem to care. Poor Brandy just opened with the lowest debut of her career. Meanwhile Musiq debuted at no. 11 with 91,000 copies sold and right behind him is Common at no. 12 with 82,000 units.

And Beyonce – whose album has been out for weeks – actually saw a 4% increase in sales to move another 159,000 copies of I Am…Adult Contemporary On One Side, Same Old Beyonce On The Other. That makes her platinum, which makes Brandy’s debut all the more pitiful.

I feel bad for her. Judging from her recent round of interviews she seems to be really happy about being back in the spotlight (although it’s clearly a lot dimmer than it used to be) and [really] wanting to get people to hear her new music.

A rep from Usher’s record label clarifies the admission policy for Usher’s “One Night Stand: Ladies Only” tour. 

THE SPIN
Maybe it was a misunderstanding, or maybe someone explained to Usher that in a recession, an underperforming album and high ticket prices equal an empty venue. Either way, any men that wanted to check out Usher on tour are more than welcomed to. In fact, you’re probably encouraged to pay with cash.

A rep for Usher’s label told Billboard.com that while ladies may be the focus of the tour, men are more than welcome to attend the shows. Yeah, I bet. Don’t be picky when your album’s flopping, Usher.
