TERRANCE HOWARD LOSES TO DON CHEADLE
THE FACTS
In an interview with NPR, Terrence Howard claims he was told about Don Cheadle taking his role in Iron Man 2 from the media.
THE SPIN
Last week reports hinted that Terrence was given the boot from Iron Man 2 because he wanted too much money for the sequel. But, let Terrence tell it he and Marvel had already come to an agreement on salary and that the producers reneged on the deal. He said, “I read something in the trades that implicated it was about money or something, but apparently the contracts that we write and sign aren’t worth the paper that they’re printed on sometimes.”
I’m assuming that maybe the film’s two other, paler stars, Robert Downey Jr. and Gwyneth Paltrow were likely offered way more money and Terrence wanted in, too. But then again, Terrence Howard says the most random things sometimes, so you never know with him.
