BILLIE JEAN SUES MICHAEL JACKSON

THE FACTS
E! Online reports that a woman named Billie Jean Jackson filed a lawsuit in Los Angeles last week claiming to be the mother of 6-year-old Prince Michael Jackson II and requests joint legal and physical custody of the child.

THE SPIN
Some crazy woman is asking to see Blanket Jackson on the weekends, wants to participate in the child’s education (re: brainwashing), and get this, wants a billion dollars. Now her asking for $1 billion dollars alone from Michael Jackson suggests she’s out of her rabbit blank mind.

Does she read the papers? Michael owes everybody with interest. Anyway, Blanket was born in 2002 and Jackson claimed it was through artificial insemination. The mother was never identified. Not that I believe he actually fathered any of those White babies, but he bought them fair and square. The psychiatric ward Billie Jean resides in needs to limit her outside access. We have enough frivolous lawsuits as it is.

JANET AVOIDS JAIL

THE FACTS
E! Online reports that Janet Jackson bowed to pressures not to perform a racy segment included in her “Rock Witchu” tour at a date in Detroit last week.

THE SPIN
Ya’ll know how Janet gets down. During one of her tours she pulls out some random, overhyped, almost hyperventilating man from the crowd (that’s likely a plant, but let’s play along) to tie-up and perform faux foreplay on to a crowd of cheering freaks.

Well, this time officials at the Palace of Auburn Hills arena told Janet to fall back. Apparently a Michigan law forbids simulated sex acts in a public performing space. I know, I know: killjoys.

So instead of facing an arrest or cancelling her tour date there, Janet decided to nix that routine from the show. In a statement Janet’s manager, Kenneth Crear, said: “Janet did not want to disappoint her Detroit-area fans again, so we adhered to Michigan’s state ordinance and trimmed the ‘Discipline’ segment of the show so it would not be canceled.”

What do you make of this? Should artists have the right to invite male audience members on stage, tie them down, and pretend to grope them while dancers mime sexual acts like masturbation around them, or was Michigan correct in stopping Janet’s bit?

YOUR SPIN: I’ll shoot for the former, what say you?  Tell us here.

TIMES MUST BE HARD FOR TONE LOC

THE FACTS
E! reports that Tone Loc will take part in the Exotic and Erotic Ball – the internationally acclaimed “Celebration of Flesh, Fetish, and Fantasy” in San Francisco.

THE SPIN
Either Tone Loc is a superfreak or he’s superbroke — maybe even both. According to E! Tone Loc will be performing his (only two) hits, Funky Cold Medina and Wild Thing for the nasty bunch attending the Exotic and Erotic Ball.

Here’s a piece of information detailing the event:

“The Expo starts October 24 and is expected to host over 30,000 attendees. The annual event will call San Francisco’s Treasure Island home for the first time this year. The Ball features over 100 closely chosen exhibits, fashion shows, a panel discussion on First Amendment rights, and a spiritual oasis showcasing potions, lotions, psychics, massages, erotic poetry, cinema, body painting and porn star wine tasting.”

It’s nice to know organizers are dispelling the myth that you can’t be freaky and classy by including porn star wine tasting. Take that, prudes.
